This is a one for the ages in boxing circles, but Prime vs Prime who would win. Iron Mike or Mohammed Ali? I'm running a poll on this one over on X to get the general populations view, you can take part in it here.. https://x.com/MENSAIDINC/status/1994869173034385849?s=20 But obviously we are not the first people to ask this question, and ponder the what would actually happen. Ali and Mike were even asked about this together on TV once, with Ali pointing at Mike, but Mike being incredibly humble, and clearly very respectful says Ali would of won. I remember an old Ring magazine that I have, which pitted Mike against all of the greats that he never fought, like Foreman, Fraser, Liston, etc, and the only one the writers said he would of been beaten by was Ali.... however... this was written some 30 years ago (I have the magazine still somewhere), so they were looking at Mike being active, and I think when you look back through time it does give another perspective. Ali in his prime was around 25, we know we lost him between 26 and 28 as he was banned due to refusing to join the army during vietnam. Tyson from 20 - 22 was unstoppable, and was his peak era. For me, I grew up watching Tyson so I am probably biased, but I do not see any human ever to live who could beat Tyson when he was 20 and going for his first title, His speed, power, agility, aggression, conditioning, was perfect, he had it all.. for me Ali would be incredibly difficult to beat and lay gloves on, but Tysons pressure, and relentlessness would be winning points every round, and by 12 rounds Tyson would still have loads left in the tank. As great as Ali was, I couldn't see him beating Tyson.
