There's no denying the impact Lewis has had on F1, and he has been an amazing champion with 7 titles, but this year has not been good at all, and i'm sure post season he must take stock on everything, and really consider his future in the sport. 2026 season sees a huge change in the rules and design of the car, with the main thing being the shift to 50/50 electric power with around 500 HP coming from the motors, so huge huge changes. I think he will look forward to these changes, and see them as a chance to put the cat amongst the pigeons as no one knows who will be competitive, and perhaps Ferrari are a dominant force, giving Lewis a final chance for that 8th Title, but if pre season shows the Ferrari is not going to be effective, then I can't imagine Lewis wanting another long season mid pack. Alonso is a previous 2 times champion and getting on in the years, but he is still all in and seems to be focused ont he development of the team whilst still enjoying the sport, but I don't think Lewis is in the same boat as Alonso, I think Lewis is in for the last championship, and if that seems totally out of reach he may well think it's time to call it a day before 2026 starts, or early in the season. The one thing which is hard to understand is the impact of leaving the life behind, as the race is just the 2 hours on a Sunday, but the rest of the week is a way of life, and you are walking away from all of that. Whos know's what will happen with Lewis, what do you think?
