Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10th at one of his now famous University open debates that he has become very well know for. To some people they may see this as a celebrity murder and move on, but to some of us he was a real Free Speech Warrior, using debate to talk about some of the toughest topics around, and the things that some people get so emotional about that they are filled with rage that there is even a debate in the first place. But Charlie would debate them as equals, and always used words to challenge peoples views, and defend what he believed in. Debate and Free Speech is the cornerstone to a democratic society, and in the west the left would have it closed off for ever, criminalising anyone who dares to ask questions or challenge belief systems, and in some cases go as far to kill to shut it down. I'm no writer, and I do Men Said to hopefully connect with folk and bring a lighter side of things, but today is a real sad day, first and foremost for Charlie's family and friends, but then beyond to every one who believes in free speech, it's hit everyone this.
