JEEZO... is GTA6 actually being developed?

JEEZO..... is GTA6 actually in development, or are they just pretending to prop up Take2's share price (i've got bloody shares in Take2). As you can tell something bad has happened, and it's yet another 6 month slip in the release date. Now its November 2026 if you believe that one. They are doing this apparently to polish the game to make sure it's perfect for players, and if that is true then I get it, I bought No Mans Sky on a pre-order for top dollar, and on release it was absolutely sh*t, nothing like they promised, it did get better after about 8 years of development, so there is a real risk of over promising and under delivering when you are working with AAA titles, and especially one like GTA6 which will be the largest entertainment event ever with a reported $1bn spent on it. But there rumours of a load of issues in the development team, morale must be through the floor with it, and the devs must just want to get it out the door and have some time off, i'm sure, and that is not a good environment to build a great product. I also think there's a real risk they may become culturally moot. With the pace of AI development, and its ability to code, i bet within a few months, a handful of AI experts could spin up a GTA6 rival within a year having the full code written by AI (I do not know how this works, just guessing). If they push it back too much, they will be overtaken by new technology, and a cultural shift from the GTA franchise. The player base is getting older for GTA, and I dont think you can just expect all the kids to jump on it, as they are into different stuff now... I think there's a real risk that GTA6 is not what it is cracked up to be, time to off those Take2 shares....
