The NEW design for Birmingham City's 62k seat stadium has been revealed, and it's awful... I thought it was a joke, and maybe it is, but it's on their official X account, and there's loads of videos and post about it. There's no way you would actually build this is there? this has to be a joke surely? it's like a Fred Dibnah wet dream... No way is this really real? JEEZO...
Looks like an old Gasworks but without all the charm of an old industrial complex. They did our ground, the Commonwealth Stadium for Man City. Lovely and smooth on the inside but not a patch on Maine Road for atmosphere. I felt this as well when I went to Old Trafford. I think there must be a critical mass for capacity which affects the atmosphere. I don't think this is a consideration, just increased ticket sales
