The latest thing in the UK that's hit the X waves (like Air waves but on X), is this fella who attacked a man with a knife, plead guilty, and just got 20 weeks suspended sentence. It's pretty mad, it really is, now this bloke was responding to another fella who was burning a Quran and shouting a load of stuff about Islam, and as a Muslim that got to him so he launched an attack on the street slashing around with a knife, and it's mad that he avoided jail when we put 12k people a year in jail for social media posts. Are Words now worse then acts of Violence? How do we have such a heavy hand on Speech, and such a forgiving nature for Violence. This fella here could quite of easily of killed him if it went wrong, he did have some level of restraint as he wasnt all in with the knife although the last slash does look very targetted, so this has the hallmarks of someone being potentially killed.. result 20 weeks suspended. Its total madness, honestly it is. Here's a short I did covering it. https://youtube.com/shorts/oPTTWOR3h_U?si=oWX6WOTSVJrVOer3
