A change is coming, I can feel it.

I think we are going to start seeing a change in online behaviour, perhaps it may only be by some demographics for a while, but I think it will spread, and I think that change will be to move away from Social Media and going directly to source of Creators and Voices you like.
If you create anything, a piece of art, a poem, a short, a video, a live stream, anything at all, you are currently relying on the big platforms to house your creation, and to push it to people. This means 2 things, the first you end up creating to the specifics of the platform, and therefore you have to create what will work, and the second is you end up dragged into a numbers game.
The Platform issue - There's very few places you can be unfiltered if you want to remain on a platform and have your creations shared with people. On TikTok in 2023 I had a decent little following going for this type of content, but I was banned after a couple of Shorts taking the piss out of Joe Biden (who was clearly incapable of putting his trousers on by himself never mind running a country) which meant on my return I had to censor what I put out there, or avoid subjects entirely. This really grates on you, as the one thing I want to be is 'Me'. I'm very authentic and want to share my thoughts and things I find funny or cool with people like me, and that is difficult when a platform you could work very hard building on suddenly pulls the rug.
You see large accounts experience this on YouTube where they suddenly become demonetised which impacts their ability to create content to the quality they once did.
The Numbers issue - When you are on these platform and you do have a little success, it becomes intoxicating, it gets really exciting when you create something and its get's 100k or 10m views, and the likes are pouring in, and the comments are so many you can't keep on top of, and you chase that hit, like some Social Media Drug. This draws you into chasing the wrong thing, Numbers, when really as a creator you are wanting to find the 'Others', which are people who genuinely like your creations, and/or you, and want to be part of what you are doing, and this is why I think there's going to be a change.
I think people will start to move away from creating on and for the Social platforms, and start to create on their own terms, on their own platforms, and merely use Social's to drop stuff, and if they get banned then they won't worry, as everything is kept safely in their own space.
Perhaps a new kind of MySpace will be born, where a company just provides the architecture, can not cancel you and ban you, just provides the structure for you to build.
This move away from wide net Social Media, to more bespoke individual content creation, does 2 important things, the first gives you full control of your content and message, no watering down and self censoring... like right now I can just say CUNT for no reason other than I can, so I can be ME... The second is although reach is going to be super low in comparison, the ones you find are the 'Others' and that is the start of building a community.
This right here on MenSaidInc.Co.Uk is me doing just that, and for 1 person who reads this, thank you, you are one of the 'Others'.
Also my spelling and Grammar are terrible, but I will get better as I go, and in the spirit of authenticity I aint putting this through AI....
