The Death of Jacob Cockle

I've just came across this one on creepy.org, and it's a traggic one. Jacob Cockle was a photographer and an adventurer, and in 2013 he went to capture first hand footage of a rare whirlpool happening in Cornwall. He jumped in with his wetsuit, a Go Pro, and wearing a horses head and found the whirlpool too strong to avoid its grip, and he was dragged deep down into the water and unfortunatley drowned. A wild way to go, especially as his last moments were captured on film.

Sad, this one. I read a bit of his life story and he was a lovely guy by all accounts and was probably trying to fulfil some need since the tragic death of his sister whom he had a deep connection with. He'd always done these high risk stunts, one of those surfer guys who milked life to the full. He knew it was potentially dangerous but thought the danger had passed as the whirlpool was losing power. Probably a fitting tribute to his crazy life though 😥

its wild way to go, and he seemed to be calm and in control, but obviously we don't see the end.
